Dixie

Dixie was born on August 12, 2001 and has cancer of the eye. She lives in Chota in the North of Ecuador. Her parents are unemployed.

Dixie has terminated chemotherapy and is currently undergoing radio therapy. Since April 2004 she is wearing an eye prosthesis and possibly will need another eye operation. Both her parents always accompany her to the hospital for her therapies and are extremely reliable in following the treatment protocol prescribed by the doctors.
